Sarah Gedminas, CNM

Biography

A native North Carolinian, Sarah Beth grew up on the Outer Banks. She graduated high school from Cape Hatteras Secondary School and finished her Bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University. As a registered nurse, Sarah Beth started her nursing career in the Behavioral Health unit at Vident Medical Center in Greenville, NC. In nursing school she was drawn to women’s health and after the birth of her first child with a midwife, knew where she should be. Sarah Beth pursued her passion in Florida as a labor and delivery nurse. There she honed her skills caring for women at one of their most vulnerable times. In 2016 Sarah Beth’s family relocated to Holly Springs, NC. She continued her work in labor and delivery in Cary, NC and then at the new Rex hospital in Holly Springs.

Once back in North Carolina, and inspired by the amazing midwives she has worked with over the years, she decided to go back to school for her master’s degree. Sarah Beth graduate with her masters of nursing midwifery from East Carolina University in 2022. Shortly after graduation she gained her board certification, becoming a certified nurse midwife. Later that year Sarah Beth joined the remarkable providers at North Carolina OBGYN & Midwifery.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family.  Sarah Beth has been married for 17 years and has four wonderful children. She also enjoys reading, wake-surfing, and traveling.
